In recognition of the positive role and the impact that Student Sponsorship Programme (SSP) plays in the Border- Kei region, SSP Eastern Cape's Regional Director, was selected as a finalist in the Business Women's Association, in the category of "social entrepreneurship". The Regional Business Association Awards (RBAA) took place on 30 July in an evening themed "A Night at the Oscars."

Kolisa Siqoko, a former lecturer at Walter Sisulu University and an MBA graduate from NMMU, confirmed that "It was such an honour to be a finalist along other 11 phenomenal women and that the nomination itself is a celebratory moment for all SSP students in the region who are writing a legacy of excellence, a tribute to SSP Trustees who continue to invest tirelessly into the programme and to SSP's partner schools who believe in the vision of access to quality education".

Even though the award was received by Di Lehy, Managing Director of Greensleeves Place of Safety, SSP is proud of Kolisa for representing SSP for an auspicious award such as RBAA.
